Colleen, I woke this morning at 5am to see Les had posted this on his faccebook last night "Les Sohier is remembering Colleen :( She had such an amazing smile. I miss her infectious happyness. Know your still in our thoughts.14 hours ago " I checked out his facebook to see if someone had mentioned anything and no...after speaking to him today he said he just thought of you out of the ...blue... after looking it had been 2 yrs since your passing to the day...we do miss you but I believe more than ever you are with each and everyone of us, hugs, julia

i dreamt a tiny micro sized chipmunk/squirrel like the size of a domino with a fluffy tail bit onto my cheek and wouldnt let go...it didnt hurt though-in my dream.
An hour and a half later now awake i step out of the friends house I had stayed the night at and there was a large dead squirrel lying in the driveway. no apparent cause of death. what does that mean?

We went for a walk to the laundromat I harnessed and put James in a bag he actually really liked the walk. We didnt get much snow here last night btu still had about 6 inches left from the last time but for the last couple hours its been making up for that and really comming down.

Today was the last day of my practicum and in a few short hours my schooling here at vcc will be over, and I will be a certified Medical Laboratory Assistant. My practicums at Life Labs and Vancouver General were fantastic tastes of the career I have choosen and I finally know the direction I want to take..........so happy to have been so successful in this endevour. I set my mind to something and was successful who woulda thunk it...imagine that.

|
About to start my eighth week...and change to a mon-fri schedule. We have lost one student due to marks not being kept up to the standard and will possibly -most likely- loose 2 more after this comming week and a final exam.
We have thus far completed 4 exams.
In one subject - Workrole I have obtained percentages of 86.3% and 88%
on the other two exams for Laboratory Fundamentals I have recieved 85.8% and 77.7%
we haev finals for those two courses in the next week and a half and have also already moved on to ECG and Specimen Collection, as well as been maintaining our Human Relations Course.
Things are moving quickly, so far I have managed to keep up....it only gets harder from here I hear.
I am maintaining 3 hours studying time in the evenings and 7-9 in the mornings before class and still feel like it is not enough! eek.

A quick update....I have started my 6 month Medical Lab Ass. program and just had my first exam....it went over okay get the results next wednesday. I have 3 more exams one each week for the next three weeks. We have 6 instructors teaching multiple courses and a new instructor for the fundamentals part with the physiology, chemistry portion and I mean new never taught before...or been showen as she is right out opf the work force...and shes been in the administration side of things for over 10 years so this part of the course does not seem as suited to her as such as workrole for example so we are learning alot through our own study groups, approx 2.5-3 hrs homework a night which is okay cause I study when I get home almost 2 hrs then I get up and go to school by 730 and dont start class till 9 ...well see how it goes. I think I will be okay. The first 2 monthes are tues-sat the second 2 monthes mon-fri and the last 2 monthes tues-sat....kinda a weird but doable. I have limited myself to two commitments on the island for the entire period other than those this is life for now....good trade off if I dont say so myself its only 6 monthes. Enough about me, back to your regularly schedualed programming.
